Guest anesn
Hey guys, yesterday i changed cambelt , tensioners and crankshaft front seal. When i put everything back the car doesn't want to start. The timing marks are 100% correct When i took away the crank timing pulley i bended the timing rotor/Trigger wheel i bended it back as good as i could. When im using diagnostic on it im getting code #12 http://mkiv.supras.org.nz/articles/engine_2_12.htm When i take out the contact from crank position sensor the car will just go on the starting motor and nothing more. If i put it in its trying to start but missfiring sometimes and shit. Could a bent Trigger wheel couse this error code and this behaviour? if it can where can i buy this trigger wheel or Crank timing pulley Thank you. absz
its possible that the ring is now out of postion from the crankshaft sensor, if the engine is getting a signal from the crankshaft sensor then the rev counter needle WILL slightly bounce up and down while cranking. Chris Wilson
You need to `scope or digital meter the output of the crank position sensor, or get someone to do it for you. Sounds most definitely like you have done something nasty down there. http://www.timloto.org/download/pdf_lesbrieven/deltapress/motormanagement/crankshaftpostionsensor.pdf
