Kopite Posted July 6, 2005 Author Share Posted July 6, 2005 he has done a lot for the club but the club has also done a lot for him. who coached him, who trained him, who sorted out his crippling injury problems of 4 years ago? who's paid him a fuck load of money at £80k a week while helpin him fulfil his boyhood dreams? i'm not sayin he's done nothin for the club, but the way he's treated us over the last year is a disgrace. his head's gone up his own arse, as an ex-player said "no one rates Steven Gerrard more than himself". we went to him 3 times last season with a contract offer but he said he wanted to wait. now he throws his toys out of the pram. i (and all LFC fans i know) turned on him as he did what a "Liverpool fan" shouldn;t want - play for another English team. Robbie Fowler was forced out of the club, he was out of the team for ages but never complained as he wanted to be at the club. that's why a lot of liverpool fans still adore him. Gerrard wanted to go for reasons that were bullshit. the club didn't want him? whatever! as i said earlier, he has one EVERY trophy he can win with Liverpool except the league! that's pretty fuckin good! yes we had a shit season last year in terms of the premiership, give Benitez time though! and if you'd read my post earlier, you'd of realised that a lot of fans lost respect for Gerrard a year ago when he first started blackmailing the club.
