Kopite
transfer request put in, fuck off and close your door on the way out you spoilt brat! as someone said - "who cares if he stays or goes, either way, we've still got carragher!"

Scoboblio
So much for "How can I leave after this?" ALL strickly IMO; I think that if football players want to change clubs, that's their business. I completely understand the fan's reaction is anger because they put a lot of money, time and passion into the club.... BUT, this is their career the same way my job is mine. If my boss asked me if I'd still be in my job in 5 years time I'm not going to say "definately" because I have no idea what will happen between now and then... I certainly wouldn't stay in a job in a large company if things got bad, out of some idea of loyalty. Again, that's not directed at the Liverpool supporters because I understand exactly how they feel, having won the Champion's league etc and now being told he wants to leave

BUT if he say's he's a true liverpool fan then how can he get any satisfaction from winnin cups with another team? just look at shearer - went to newcastle over man united because he supported them
dane_stone
Most footballers stop playing for the love of the game and instead for the love of the money. happens to most and why should he be different footballs a business not a sport anymore. Guest Terry S
I sort of understand them chasing the money as the career is short, but it wasnt like he wasnt being offered a fair wage FFS. Really disappointed in the guy if it is true.

dane_stone
Another thing is we don't now what gose on behind closed doors my not get on with some people at the club.
Kopite
well we've still got alonso who's a far better player and carragher who's a far better red. sell gerrard to madrid, spent £20mil on shaun wright phillips and get another midfielder to replace out "captain"
Jake
Maybe Gerrard just fancies playing in Spain. If the rumours are true he'll be on £8m a year at Real Madrid and, with all due respect to Liverpool, I know which city I'd rather live in. 100k a week in Liverpool 150k a week in Madrid :tempted:Tough choice, eh? Kopite
Yep, Liverpool, no birds with Beards ( they are all in Manchester) yep, liverpool it is then, now just wait for stevie to read this if he does leave for madrid it's not that bad, if he goes to another english club then he won't be forgiven. chelsea are scum and ruined the game (without chelsea, there's no way peter crouch would be commanding a £10mil transfer fee!), if he goes there then don't ever come back. apparently the Glazers want to sign him for Man United. don't need to comment on what he should do if he goes there! if he does go to another english club, all i'd say to him is "good luck and break a leg "
Alex
I think he realised Liverpool won't be that good ever again sooo thought, fcuk 'em I'll join a proper team
