mawby
No one likes change! The benefits of this new system is it allows auctions, it shows thumbnails, it has a more classifieds friendly search, and you can leave feedback against other members about how a transaction went. Despite the smilie window only showing a few smilies, you can infact type any smilie in and it will work. Full discussions can be had using the comments section. With regards to it looking cluttered, we can change the templates to make it more easier on the eye. Unless someone volunteers to do that it'll have to wait for the moment as I'm up to my neck in house and car problems. I'm not binning it off unless it's obvious it doesn't work for us! Matt T
I've had the same classifieds system at another forum i visit regularly for the past few months now and im not a fan. Both methods have their benefits but i just dont find much stuff gets sold using this new system. Before all the for sale threads would pop up on the 'new posts' button, now it actually requires several clicks to get to (im lazy i know but it makes a difference). I hardly ever check the for sale section now as it all means more clicking. Its good to have pictures, auctions etc... though
Faye Brother
Is there any way an individual user can change the "Sort by" default option from "most views" to "most recent" and keep it that way? Everytime I leave the Classifieds and go back in again it just resets back to sorting the threads in the most viewed order which I find rather irritating. peter richards
thats just the point i was making at the start of the thread , its like poxy e bay . why would you want to leave feedback on a sale , if something isnt going smoothly , we have our pm system , and i think this bbs has trustworthy members , unlike e bay . why change a system that is easy to use , seems like a lot of hard work on your behalf mawby unessasaraly SP. i think in the long run people will not bother to either look to buy or sell parts , which atm is a big feature of the bbs . cheers peter
SimonB
Can the new system be tied into the "new posts" somehow? I always browse the forum by just looking at the new posts, and the classifieds don't show up on it any more.

Clarkey
Umm .. it appears most people are against the new system. But I thought it was v.good. Anychance of bringing back as it seems to have disappeared (?) Or am I being thick and it's still there .. and I just haven't seen it. Yep it seems to have gone especially as I've just been able to put a post in the Parts Wanted section.
peter richards
at least now people will view your sale , which at the end of the day is the objective you want. people will only start advertising in other sections, sooner or later
