tbourner
Eventually told myself to stop being a wuss and go and do it. Spoke to my brother before who's got one, he said he'd never get another one cos it hurt like a bitch! Great. Was stressing out something chronic before going in, getting settled in the chair, doing the stencil etc. Had my coke and sweets, massive panic when he held my arm and started the buzzy machine of death. Then once he'd started it was fine, the wife was with me and said she felt dizzy watching (we're both needle phobic), I couldn't watch him doing it but hardly felt it, couple of bits near the shoulder hurt, and the longest continuous lines were a bit annoying. Reminded me of the cat sitting on my chest in bed and doing the 'kneeding' thing they do - just VERY annoying rather than painful, you can only cope with a few seconds at a time. Anyway, no problems with them now and will probably get more, might add some to this one or just get another small one somewhere. Not gonna go for mammoth 6 hour sessions or anything just yet! tbourner
nice one but you had it done on a painless area really, try getting your armpitt and elbow done. i sat a 8 hour once I chose the arm for that very reason!! Don't think I'll venture onto bone until I've had a bit more practice. Plus I do need to keep them out of sight for work. nice mate...now youve had 1 you'll end up covered - ive got 22 now and still want more all the time!! Was thinking maybe adding a moon and clouds to this one, or possibly a tribal style eagle I like the look of somewhere, can't think how else I could build this one up though. Does the design have any significance to you or just something you liked? We own Alaskan Malamutes, and run Huskies in Need rescue, so sled dogs are a huge part of my life at the moment - even if they won't be in 10 years I'll want to remember this part of our lives. grahamc
reminds me of "a one man wolf pack" Im glad I got mine a few months ago, down the down of the forearm was not that painful... buzzing got annoying, there was a dull ache, only got painful when he got to the bit near the wrist.
