Ricky49
I got home from Japfest about 5.30pm and my missus was going to work at her parents resturant at 6.00pm. Our 11 month had been fed and just was playing before my missus went to work. After she left my daughter had left me a nice nappy to change so I started to lie her down on her changing mat. Her changing bag was out of nappies so I had to go in the next room to get her one and some for her bag. I must of gone for about 30 seconds. On returning to the living room my daughter Sofia is what sounded like coughing , spluttering and wreaching. I picked her up thinking she had put something in her mouth and was slapping her on the back, she was starting to get a darker shade of red and I was really worried by the time so I started to really whack her back. Next thing I had her in front facing me and she did the biggest projectial vomit ever all over me. After a few breaths she was screaming to be put on the floor and she just crawled off and sat with her toys like nothing had happened. I was sat there shaking and sweaty. I gave her some water and let her stay up late watching tv with daddy. I put her to bed and sat in her room and waited for my wife to come home. Thing morning she is crawling round the living room at 100mph eating, drinking and playing. Scarey moment for me as I didn't really know what to do other than panic, so the wife and I are planning to go on a toddler and kids first aid course. KIDS!!!! bradleyh_15
Paediatric first aid is the one you should go on that will give you a good insight into what you want to know and will also help you be calmer. I may have a contact for you for a course if you are interested. Glad the little one is ok and bright an breezy this morning!
