I am stunned but then i guess i would be, more than a little harsh me feels.

It's because all the roumours about Webb being a Manu fan and some of the decisions that he has made in some of the games he has refed for them!

Stupid I know! Especially as I thought he was quite harsh towards them in the Chelsea game!

The man thinks hes above everyone.

I expect a Man utd media black out as he throws all the toys from the pram.

I know even blind squirrels get nuts, but come on... read the article at least and pass judgement based on that rather than just jumping on the "I hate Man U" bandwagon.

Just wait for Abz's usual take on it, will have a bet the words "London" and "Fans" are in there somewhere. :D

Have you actually looked into the incident that they are pulling him up for?

Yup i have, he knows better and hes was putting pressure on webb. Most of the time people turn a blind eye to him. However they seem to have had enough of him about time too.

Im not saying he isnt one of the best managers we have ever seen. Its just he seems to think he can do what he wants when he wants.

His comment was simply that the ref was one of the best in the country, how is that against the rules?

They are not allowed to be positive or negative about them prior to the game as it is seen as bringing the game and possibly the result into disrepute!

But I agree it's a crock of sh1t as I'm sure there is such thing as freedom of speech!

I also think if they win or draw tomorrow we will be having a discussion about fielding a weakened side against westham on the last day! This got Blackpool into hot water against wolves earlier in the season so will be interesting! :)

I can't help it, I just love teasing MANCHESTER fans all born and bred in LONDON! :D

Sorry dude, but it makes me laugh when they get all worked up about it.

Though you would surprised to hear, I think the FA are being a bit brunt with it.

Even though he has broken a rule in all fairness.

SAF: "We are getting the best referee, there is no doubt about that"

"Even though Ferguson spoke positively about Webb, he broke FA rules which state that no manager should speak about a referee prior to a match."

I probably worded my thinking wrong. I think it's absolutely ridiculous. For them to try and uphold that is just insane. Saying the ref had a good game, or he is good at his job, is sadly lacking in this sport. It's always negative comments being thrown at the refs so positive ones should be encouraged.

Don't get me wrong, Sir Furious is probably one of the best "mind game" managers in the game. In this instance I think he was asked a question and gave an opinion though. Any idea of the question from the media that got this retort?

I think the whole stance on commenting on referee's is a joke. You should be well within your rights to comment on a ref's performance, good or bad. They're just human and make mistakes like everyone. Dont you think Fergies comments were tinged with sarcasm?
