Si_s Supe
...or is it just me?? I've made him an offer which I think is more than fair to him, but now I'm wandering. If you were going to offer on this car...what would it be? http://www.pistonheads.com/sales/2734669.htm
marc_p
If it's in as good a condition as it appears then I would say it's a tad over priced, but not massively, maybe offer him £8.5k and go from there, anything lower would be true lowballer fasion. JamieS
Looked at this one while I was looking for mine. It's very clean, well looked after, but he wasn't open to much negotiation on the price. Might be now though, since we're a month down the line.
johnny g
Go back in another month with £8k cash. It'll still be there then.

So how much did you end up paying for yours then being 2years younger and TT6??

Rob_Mitchell
i think its over priced, you can get tidy tt6's for around 9-10k now.
Chris Wilson
I think anything over £7K is far too much. If someone offered it me for £6K I wouldn't buy it. It's a buyers market, keep looking.
j_jza80
I wouldn't pay more than £6.5k for a pre facelift auto. You can get tidy tiptronic vvtis for around £8k!
JamieS
So how much did you end up paying for yours then being 2years younger and TT6?? £11000 including a few spare parts and some other bits. Also, mine came BPU'd, well, more or less.

Chris, you've been saying you can pick up TT6's for £5k for years I wouldn't pay more than £6.5k for a pre facelift auto. You can get tidy tiptronic vvtis for around £8k! It's facelift
j_jza80
Chris, you've been saying you can pick up TT6's for £5k for years It's facelift I meant pre VVTI. I knew what I meant
Scooter
I wouldn't put my Facelift manual 6 speed (less blingy, slightly higher mileage 70Kish same age) up for this much. Search for Moviestar's for sale thread, his car was exactly the same and didn't sell at £7995 as far as I recall?
ManwithSupra
What are we doing??? No Supra is overpriced
Scooter
What was your actual offer and are you looking specifically for a auto?
Snooze
At a quick glance, I'd say this one is worth about £7.5 IF you believe the mileage figure. I'd be sceptical of a 15-year-old car with only 50k miles on it.
Chris Wilson
Chris, you've been saying you can pick up TT6's for £5k for years It's facelift You have been able to, for years, just not from members on here
j_jza80
Keep an eye on the Irish free ads, there's been a few tt6s for £6k recently. I also happen to know that a member of this very forum managed to get a TT6 for just over £5k fairly recently. Was a very clean car too with only a tiny bit of work required. Havard
It's over a grand more than I paid for a VVTi Tiptronic from Jurgen. Mine had similar mileage. This was also nearly a year ago from when we agreed the price. H.
qwarrior
You can get a TT6 on Autotrader from a high street dealer (modded not stock) for £10k, and I think that's steep. £9.5K fro an auto, more like £7.5k tops £8k. And as mentioned above 50k miles for a '96 is low, if it's genuine.
Si_s Supe
I have written him a very well constructed email saying I believe it's over priced and offered £7500. As of yet, I've had no response which is a shame as it looks very nice and is only down the road from me. Havard...have you delimited your Tiptronic? This is another option for me. Torque GT have one but I'm worried about the implications of delimiting the Tiptronic but think it'd be criminal to have a limited TT Supra!! Regardless of whether it's overpriced or not, to send a message to the guy telling him his car is overpriced and offering him £2k less is typical insulting lowballer fasion, I hate it when people do that, I doubt you'll get a reply, if you want to spend £7.5k, go look for ones at £7.5k.
