MR D
Hi guys New Supe arriving soon so I'm gonna need a new Imob/Alarm , have a Cat 1 Cobra fitted on my current Supe and have had no probs for the last two years but it is basic. Would'nt mind one that tells people to back off if they get to close so can anyone recommend anything else and any idea what cost I am looking at ? Cheers in advance Paul

Looking at about £600 for it though all in. Gaz.
Matt Harwood
That's the one I'd recommend too. Get it fitted with the turbo timer on one of the channel outputs. It doesn't have a verbal warning, just a siren buzz. (Personally, I think the verbal ones are a bit cheesy!) You'll also neeeeeeeeed the intellistart to show off with or warm up your turbos Failing that, if you want a 'no frills' alarm that's reliable and simply does what it says on the tin... Go for the Toad Ai606. You can get an outerzone warning for this too. - Generally about £300-
lust2luv
Definitely Clifford IMHO. The warning buzz is a kindof annoying sound, much better than a verbal warning, which may tend to encourage kids to want to set it off to hear KITT. WILLGILL
another vote for clifford 600 I got one and it does what if says on the tin (it cliffords ) http://WWW.GAPSECURITY.CO.UK will come to you for an install
JohnK
Concept 600 is the way to go, But dont just get anyone to fit it, Cliffords can be quite tempremental if they arent fitted right and the 600 takes over a day to fit so I wouldnt trust anyone that says they can do it outside your house in a day! Have a chat with Matt Harwood he made a great job of mine, its well worth a trip down to Maidstone to see him.
Snowman
Def the Clifford. I have the 300 but with most of the bits for the 600, intellistart, turbo timer, auto window up and the dual zone proximity sensor. DO NOT, I REPEAT DO NOT, GET IT INSTALLED BY GAP SECURITY THOUGH. unless you want amazingly por service and in my experience a company that will cock up your wiring and scratch your car. truely aweful.  Mr D where are you based? MR D
Thanks for the replies guys, clifford 600 sounds good but a tad expensive, have to see whats left after paying for the car but if I can stretch to that I think I will. Snowman - I'm based in Swindon , used a company called 1st Vehicle Security last time and they are based locally so any probs I can get them back, I'll give them a bell and see what they can come up with. Cheers Paul
Snowman
Mr D Check the clifford website, they have a list of authorised installers given your post code. Basically anyone who is authorised apart from GAP. Good luck, and intellistart is well worth getting, proper james bond style!
JohnK
Dont rely on the authorised dealer list, as has been said GAP are on there! Go on personal recomendation and also have a word with matt, all places dont charge the same price
lust2luv
Sextons is probably your best bet - they seem to know what they're doing - I think that's who Matt works for??

Matt Harwood
Ahh, bless... Thanks guys I know the guy that owns the Swindon, Bath, Reading, Bristol, Trowbridge and Wandsworth stores. He's a really nice guy and guards his reputation with pride. I would be amazed if any of his branches were to do anything but a good job. (Of course, they won't do it a cheap as I would for you guys ) Their contact details are on their website http://www.sextons.co.uk/contact/index.php3 Feel free to contact me privatly for those I wouldn't recommend - Obviously, it wouldn't be good to announce it on a public board!
