RedM
Just seen on the news that the stars of Live8 are feeling the benefit of doing charity work. Pink Floyd saw a 1300+% increase in sales, The Who an 840+% increase and so on. The Lib Dems have called on them to donate the extra to charity. It'll be interesting to see who does. Maybe they only want to 'make poverty history' for themselves.
monkey76364
Come on you know non of them will give any of that cash back ! Probably the main reason Pink Floyd got back for that gig, needed some extra beer money lol !!
Kopite
nice to see Mariah Carey used it to plug her new album rather than doin what was asked and playin her big hits.
RedM
If Maria had played with her big hits I might have tuned in.

Jake
nice to see Mariah Carey used it to plug her new album rather than doin what was asked and playin her big hits. and The Scissor Sisters did it with their new single. Pretty low trick
Matt T
and The Scissor Sisters did it with their new single. Pretty low trick And the bird from Scissor Sisters had a go at Mariah for playing her new single, when they played their new song that hadnt even been aired before. At the end of the day i bet every single artist there was mainly there for their own personal benefit, and tbh whats the problem with it? Wolf
So a 1300% increase in sales in the 1 day since the concert.... So that's about 50 albums sold then - I'm sure the money from that will help the multi millionaires of Floyd and the Who!!
GeordieSteve
Pink Floyd's guitarist has agreed that the extra cash should go towards live

Scoboblio
Did anyone else notice that they'd muted the bird from scissor sister's mic? My mate pointed it out at the time, she was shouting into it but you couldn't hear jack
