am i right in thinkin that they can only monitor your spead when they have clear sight of you i.e. not when you're behind a bend :p

EDIT: i know they can't see round corners but do you have to be facin it square on for it to measure your speed? came across one on the a19 the other day, was on a bridge just after a corner, saw a police car on the bridge and started brakin, then when i was fully round the corner i saw the mobile van - will it measure my speed while i was still sweepin round the bend or is that too inaccurate?

I'd say it would be pointed at the corner for maximum effect..!

How fast were you going Ro?

Gaz.

shut it you :p well.... was doin just less than 100 i think when i started sweepin round the bend, saw the police car drivin slowly over the bridge comin from my right so i saw him a lot earlier than the van! braked, probably 85-87 on the speedo when i saw the van.... when/if they clicked me is up to them

bastards!! hopin i might get away with it, knowin my luck recently i'll be in court alongside darkrider666!

Rob - think it was just past the BP services, i join the A19 at Norton so the first southbound services from there.
