Chris and Alana
Does anyone have any experience with the Toyota Caldina? It is a 98 2L Turbo 4WD. I know it has a very similar engine to the ST205 Celica GT4 and is based on an Avensis estate but thats about it. Anyway I have managed to source some parts but I am struggling to find the following:- Front and rear brake disks and pads Water pump (You can get these with or without thermostat housing - I have purchased one without the housing but dont know if it is right or not ) Have been told from garage that front and rear wishbone bushes are perished with excess movement so need to replace them asap. Are these just Avensis wishbones? Do I need to replace the wishbone or just the bushes? and I take it there is only one wishbone per corner? Garage could not source parts so left it to me and couldnt answer my questions as they dont know if bushes are available separately.

My friend owns one but I don't know a lot about them, I do know they share similar suspension and running gear setup as the 4WD GT4. May be worth asking on a GT4/Celica owners club. johnny g
The GT4OC.net know these cars. I think yours is the ST246. It's the latest version of the 3SGTE in there. Great cars
Chris and Alana
I think it is the ST215W but I may be wrong lol
Chris and Alana
Finding parts is now causing me a headache lol. I see that GT40c forum pop up alot when I search for caldina but you cannot view the threads unless you pay £20 a year which is a bit steep to find out a couple part numbers
johnny g
Well, you need to ask how bad you want the part numbers. Personally, I'd take the £20 hit and get the info sooner rather than later
Nic
Finding parts is now causing me a headache lol. I'd ask the garage to specify exactly which suspension parts you need then visit your local Toyota dealer, they should be able to identify the correct part number on the EPC and order for you.
