Trig
Love the B17, favorite plane of all time! lol @ the cleavage
SupraStar 3000
I agree Trig, The B-17 is a fantastic and remarkable aircraft. This one is called the ‘Sally B’ although painted on one side as the ‘Memphis Belle’ with a yellow and black checkered engine cowl to respect the guy that started the project who has unfortunately died of cancer. Having sat in the tail gunner seat before I have tremendous respect for anyone who fought over europe in this aircraft. Must have been HELL The Red Arrows as per usual stole the show. How they fly so accurately is unbelievable. The aircraft that most impressed me what the Eurofighter a.k.a Typhoon. I really think this could be our modern equivalent of our Spitfire with its revolutionary design and handling. Looks good aswell
michael parker
Those two Royal Navy fa2 sea harriers i've probably worked on them a few times!!!!! it's the last time you'll see them as 801 squadron as it's dispanding april next year and coming up to raf cottesmore and forming again in oct 2006 with the harrier gr7, thats what i now work on, as part of a navy/raf Joint Force Harrier. Bobbeh
Nice pics guys! Gotta love those Harriers, I've witness one taking off from about 100ft away and the subsequent flyby, awesome and deafening!
SupraStar 3000
do you think that maybe one day michael you'll be working on the Harriers replacement! The JSF I love the Harrier and think its another iconic machine just like concorde and the spitfire. But I have to admit the JSF looks mighty impressive! http://www.jsf.mil/

SupraStar 3000
Links not working mate, isnt this the one that looks like the YF-22?? weird mate, works for me. Just type "www.jsf.mil" Yes, kinda like the YF22 but smaller. Its a STOVL aircraft to replace Sea Harriers & GR.7s as a supersonic strike fighter Didn't have the camera when the Red Soop did its flypast
michael parker
The JSF is due out 2012, though knowing how long it took the Navy to get the Merlin helicopter approx (12 years late) i'm not so sure i'll get to work on it, though it would be amazing, it depends on how long i stay in for too, been in just over 6 years now and i still enjoy it so i'll have to see! I guestimate it'll be out and in action around 2018-2020, the new carriers are supposed to be out in 2012 too so????
