Max Headroom
I have just put my 160G HD in a computer and made it the slave drive. The HD in the computer is 40G. Is it just a case of moving the jumpers on the rear of the HDs to make the 160G the master and the 40G the slave?
mawby
That and the master should be attached to the connector on the end of the cable not the one in the middle - assuming they are connected to the same controller. Or if the jumpers are in "cable select" mode then you don't need to change them, just swap them on the cable.

What he said, most computers nowadays are well labled up so you should easily see what goes where when you open it up. Don't worry though, if they get plugged in wrong nothings going to break;)
