Swampy442
Any diesel owner here ever used them/verify their claims? Looking at getting one for my latest daily smoker. straightsix
I read about these in 'Car Mechanics' magazine. They tested the chips and dyno'd the car before and after. BHP and torque was increased as per claimed amount so they deemed it very worthwhile. If I can find the article I'll post it up but it might be in a box somewhere! sdistc
Isn't this the sort of service that Dude and AFR were offering for diesel remapping?

Swampy442
Isn't this the sort of service that Dude and AFR were offering for diesel remapping? Its not mapping Andy, its just a plug in box. Im looking at a Skoda Octavia, TDI claim a box will give you 25hp and 60 odd torques, plus a 5mpg reduction, healthy increase for 140 quid I thought. dan294
Nothing listed for my Landcruiser:( Which Landcruiser do you have? I work for {EDITED} and may be able to do a deal, ours are more expensive than theirs, but we have been doing it 12 years and with the plug in modules, you do get what you pay for... dan294
Think AFR offer remapping from what i can find on the website. If its an older Octavia with the VP37 fuel pump, a lot struggle to remap them as i believe they have 2 ECU's or something. We sell a lot of Tunits to VAG specialists that offer Revo maps and the like and they use Tunits for the VP37's as they can't map them

bignum
Just watch the turbo bud, a mate of mine rebuilds turbo`s and most of the vag units that have failed were from "chipped" cars.

pjavon
All seems a bit to good to be true. 34Bhp and 60Nm of torque extra for £119 on my car:innocent:
ManwithSupra
Hmmm they reckon they can get my Focus from 115bhp to 150bhp (35bhp increase) and bring torque up from 250nm(184lbft) to 330nm (243lbft) buy getting a CRTD2 tuning box... If it does actually bring my car to 330nm it will mean i have better pulling power than a new Focus ST (Which is 320nm) All for £290? and a 14 day money back deal. http://www.tdi-tuning.co.uk/ford/focus/18_tdci_113_bhp__115_ps__85_kw/crtd2_diesel_tuning_box__ford_focus_18_tdci_113_bhp__115_ps__85_kw_P1557.html May actually give that a go.. if i find myself with some spare cash...
