ManwithSupra
I am fitting a new wing hopefully next week as the one i have is damaged. Has anyone done this and is there a "How To" on it ? I know its a bolt on wing but just wanted to make sure that there isnt going to be any suprises along the way. If not then i will post the how to when i muddle through it,
Soonto_HAS_soop
Well, if you old one is knackered, just experiment when taking it off to makes sure you don't damage the new one when you put it on. Remember though, that you will have to remove the skirt/trim you have in the wheelarch. Not sure if the bumper has to be removedthough?? rik
I removed the rear wing from my car yesterday. Asuming your car is the same as my 93j/spec, you need to remove the plastic panel under the boot lid. This is held on by push in clips, you need to pull the panel gently from one corner until you hear the clip 'pop'. Once you get a couple off, the rest are easier. There are four bolts holding the wing on, i'm sure they were 13mm. Undo these, give the wing a nudge and you should be in busines.

The guy wants to now how to remove the FRONT wing, why would he need to remove the panel under the boot lid?
Kopite
Ben, i thought he was on about the rear wing too? most people would say front bumper/nose wouldn't they?
Chris Wilson
Well, I was confused too! There's 2 front wings, 2 back wings, and a so called rear aerofoil wing. So I feel justified in being confused

The quickest way to remove these is sideswipe the barrier at around 70. Although this is a highly counter productive method.
