My first Sup! My first TT! My first aerotop!

Hello all,

As per title, I bought my first Supra TT (BPU) Aerotop last week! I got the bug after my friend bought one, crashed that one and bought another one.

I was looking for a Stock Auto TT or Auto BPU TT and was in talks with patrikbrunt to buy his but that fell though and I'm so glad it did as it meant i was able to buy this one! Didn't think i would get a chance to buy an Aerotop TT due to how rare they are but here I am.

HOWEVER as i didn't check the insurance before i bought it, i might have to sell it again!

Aerotop insurance is so much more, wtf! Anyway, I might be selling it soon or swapping it for a manual TT so if anyone is mildly interested, drop me a pm and I'll contact you when i decide.

Spec list as follows :

APEXi Boost Controller

F-Con IS (Have manual but if someone could give me more info on how to config it/use it ? )

19" Alloys

Low Profile Tyres

GZ Modal

Vailside kit (Don’t like but whatever.)

Full BPU

etc.etc.

Opinions and suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

ive never found that because my car is an aerotop the insurance goes up , just a few Qs tho , how old are you? any points or convictions what aera are you from and what security do you have on the car? and also who have you had quotes from to cover the vehicle ?

22, 3 ncb. no points or convictions. east london, alarm and immobiliser. confused.com and few specialist companies. on a normal tt sup with main mods, its like 1600-1800. on aero tt its like 3 grand : ( .

I think that might be down to the area.. I.e East london ... im exactly the same and i got a quote of £1005 with admiral .. mods declared.. TT bpu auto Jspec. i live in the middle of nowhere :)

Shop around a bit and im sure you will find a price to your liking.

Oh and nice sup, but i think lose the wheels and your on to a winner.

Assuming you've tried admiral / sky?

My quote came back at 900 quid, thats with a v8 aerotop, with manual conversion + all fancy bits declared.

Definitely got potential this one, at least it has stock skirts and spats. New wheels and bumper would transform it

As this isn't a 'For Sale' thread, I don't mind commenting on the price :) TBH, with that bumper and wheels I'd say £6.5-7k tops, pick up a stock silver bumper and some classy wheels (even stock 17"s would do) plus some better pics and I reckon you could see around £8k+

Have you seen Ellis's car? I don't think he would be trading it in for this! :D

Too right!!

Agree with j_jza80 - swap the front bumper and change the wheels and she'll look sweet and will be a much more attractive proposition.
