painted the brake discs (with pics)

ive just done mine today! :)

 

happy with them, wish i did them sooner tbh.

 

makes such a difference, you dont notice how brown/rusty the stock discs are til you paint them.

 

anyway pics :D

 

removed the wheel and masked up the disc (UK brakes btw)

 

i just left the caliper on, as didnt have my tools here. (just let the handbrake off so you can spin the disc to paint it all)

paint with a brush. i used hammerite, as i had loads left from when did the calipers

remove the masking tape (nice part) and vwala! :)

for thos who thaught you cant see this part of the disc when the wheel is on heres the final result.

I thought it wasnt a good idea to paint the face of the hubs as the rims dont sit properly against them? think it was suprastar3000 who had the tyre problems??iirc...looks good though!

 

how would you have tire problems?

 

its only paint, the wheels fit as normal

What did you use to paint these mate?

 

i used Hammerite mate,

 

and just put it on with a brush!

 

easy to do and takes little time, and makes it look nice & clean, rarther than brown rusty brakes
