mobius
Looking like I need a new rear shock, spoke to MrT first quoted £65 for rear OEM black shock, they phoned today to say part no longer available but new replacement part one digit difference between part numbers new price £155. I only need one so looking for a replacement oem one, just moved house so not much spare cash floating about just now, or I would just change to Bilsteins on both rear corners which are cheaper than softer OEM replacemts. Can get a KYB for £50 are they any good ?? or does anyone have a good OEM black one or know where to get one
bignum
You need to change the pair really as the damping will be unequal, kyb make oem shocks for alot of car manufacturers, infact the oem uk shocks are kyb, i use the red ones which have 4 settings for bump/rebound. paulj1
I have the red KYBs with eibach springs and i reckon they're great i use my supra as my every day car and they cope with cruising along or giving it full beans
Parry_10
definatley change both if your not going for a standard oem shock- I replaced one rear with a kyb and the dampness was stiffer so it felt like I kept getting a knock from one side. Went for fully adjustable coilover set up in the end makes a hell of a difference
