scotty71
I'd go with that option too! that would be PC capture device so the pc would have to be pretty decent as all things copied off the sky box must be done on the fly, whether it by via dvd/r DVR or PC Capture

JustGav
CAM sharing, not legal....but can be done... wouldn't use a sky box though, it would be something like a Dreambox rather. They sky box is a locked down unit and doing anything with it is fairly difficult.
Rob
Have a look in the Tech threads on Digital Spy, they are always on about recording off Sky+. I think it involves taking the HDD out.

Yup, the drive does have to come out if you want to pull it off the sky box, the other prob is that if it was an encrypted (pay to view, not freeview thing) it will also be encrypted and need decoding. This is a rather techy thing to do...
merckx
Or get a cheap hard drive to swap with the one in the HD box, very easy to do. Not all hard drives are suited as the ones in Sky boxes and dvd recorders have a different spec. Plenty of cheap Sky + boxes on Ebay, take the hard drive out, fit it into the HD box and do a reset.
