Jellybean Posted April 28, 2011 Share Posted April 28, 2011 Hey got in the car tonight, battery is doggy but she started fine on first turn of the key. Then after about 30secs she cut out, i tried to start her again but she just keeps cranking ; I am recharing the battery now, is this due to a weak battery ? I am booked into Supra Specialests in the morning, took the day off work and all. Booked in since 1st of April , 90min drive; any ideas? I had a similar problem which was caused by part of the ecu harness coming undone :s I was driving her all weekend fine, tues I parked her up , disconnected the battery and started her tonight to go get petrol for the trip to SSI tomorrow morning. Started fine, cut out after 30 secs then just turns over but doesnt fire up. Recharging the Battery now First I taught the immobliser but it dis-arms as normal, rally am worried now. johnny g Posted April 28, 2011 Share Posted April 28, 2011 Get your Valet Code - put the key in the ignition, turn to Acc 2 and enter the code (I think it's also Clifford Button x 2, then lock) - your indicator light should be a solid illumination. Once you get it into Valet, the alarm is disabled and the immobilisers will theoretically be disabled. Try that! Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

madwoody1 Posted April 28, 2011 Share Posted April 28, 2011 i had a problem like this with my clifford 650 alarm they have a fault that where the immobiliser box is the 6 black cable going into it have two plugs that over time work lose and become un-plugged it might be that and all you need to do is plug them back in. My black box is buried under the seat , drivers seat out and carpet up. , Need to be up ib SSI by 0930 ; will try and disarm the thing, fix it up there. madwoody1 Posted April 28, 2011 Share Posted April 28, 2011 (edited) are ok the clifford has main brain and from that another one for the immobiliser i could be wrong but i dont think the cables are meant to be very long on immobiliser circuit so it should be under the dash the one you will be looking for is covered in a metal case not a plastic one right what your looking for if it is the alarm at fault is this on ebay item number 320690920342 its the smaller box in the picture hope its that as its any easy fix just undo the little box plug them back together then might run again Edited April 28, 2011 by madwoody1 missed something (see edit history) Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Jellybean Posted April 29, 2011 Author Share Posted April 29, 2011 I think what happened is when I disconnected the battery for a week and reconnected it the alarm had a hissy fit; it immobilised the fuel feed , but the car ran for the 30 secs on the fuel which resided in the fuel rail/lines then cut out after it go starved The alarm normally arms itself and sounds when I re-connect the battery, it didnt that time , I will just put it down to a one off; everything is working fine now Thanks for the help Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
