Andrew K
I'm also interested in how to do this as I'm taking my auto box out of my N/A and fitting a v161 and prop from a TT. Having the same trouble with prop fitting to N/A diff!! When you change the companion flange, can you just do it from the front by just unbolting it and swapping over or have you got to take all the internals out and do it from inside the diff? David P
The correct way is to rebuild and reshim the diff, but the swop can be done externally, but you must tighten the nut back to the exact same position. Why not just swop to a 3.769?
dcarrter21
I had issues with mine even after buying this flange. I ended up making 6 individual little bushes to space out the prop. It works fine now though!
dcarrter21
If anyone needs it ive got my na companion flange..... The nut is rather tight and you can only get to it with a deep socket. Think its a 36mm, took alot to get it off with the car on axel stands.... Would be alot easier if it was on a ramp!

Why not just swop to a 3.769? Is the 3.769 a TT Auto diff? Will this also still keep the correct gear ratio as the car is still a N/A!? I bought a N/A torsen LSD diff and was hoping to use that! But having trouble with the prop fitting don't realy want to buy another diff!! Can't I use part of another prop used with the front part of the 6spd prop by any chance? David P
The 3.769 is a T.T.auto diff, I have just fitted one to my N/A in readiness of the extra torque from the supercharger. For N/A MT6 you need the 4.083 ratio, but the 6MT prop has the larger flange. For NA-T the 3.769 would be more suitable unless you want max excelleration or like changing gear a lot.
