Supra-Brett
Anyone know much about bikes ? I need a new one as mine is 14Years old!!!!! (almost as old as the supra lol:D) Ive been looking at a sub £400 bike (cheaper the better for me) So far my favorite by far is the scott Sportster 60 http://www.evanscycles.com/products/scott/sportster-60-2011-hybrid-bike-ec025472 A few others ive seen are the mongoose crossway 350 and Dawes discovery 301. Any ideas which is best ? Advice on good value sites? also found what looks like a bargain on clearance http://www.winstanleysbikes.co.uk/product/23963/Haro_Gomez_Bike_2009 Any ideas? Supra-Brett
8Kms into work on road 13kms home again on canal path I do tend to rag bikes about a bit so its MTB or hybrid only. I think i can get away with a hybrid though.
tbourner
Hybrid sounds about right, you need to find one that is more MTB style than road bike style really if you're gonna be bashing it about. Some are faster on road and the others are more rugged on tracks. I think most come with 700c wheels though which you may struggle with going up and down kerbs and on bumpy paths, especially with a rigid frame.
