Abz
After seeing a thread about data being lost it prompted me to put up a thread I have been meaning to do for the last year or so. I have been using something which I think is extremely valuable for anyone who wants to store data! Think of it as a cloud data storage, but this goes further. I have Dropbox installed on both my home laptops (Windows 7 & Mac OS), on my work PC & I also have the app installed on my iPhone. Bascially it allows me to store data if you wish in a cloud and then have access to it from anywhere that has a internet connection. You don't even need the software installed on a machine, you can just access it from the web page. The best part? You get 2GB FREE and even more with referrals! (Up to 8GB!). I mainly use it to store very important documents and also as a memory stick. Though it maybe of some use to club members and a great tool for backing up important data. And if you use this link, you get an extra 250MB free! http://db.tt/EPlDZfe Here is the website: https://www.dropbox.com

MrRalphMan
If you're using the free option, have a look at Sugarsync. It gives you 5GB for free and the normal 250MB per referral. Has a very nice Android app and there is also one from the iPhone. Going to be cheeky and post up my referral link, so we can both get 250MB space free.. ;-) https://www.sugarsync.com/referral?rc=pfec50dsq59x&utm_source=txemail&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=referral?utm_source=txemail&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=ReferralJoin Home page - https://www.sugarsync.com I think sugarsync suits me more as you can have multiple folders being synced, it's more granular in how you select the data you want backing up. Think I might install that and give it a go at home, you can't go wrong with having multiple backup points

MrRalphMan
Ok, looks like I was wrong and you don't get 250MB when a referrer joins.... It's 500MB..
AndrewOW
Yeah I use dropbox, its very good handy on the iphone too! I think it's brilliant, and the free 2GB is just great for transferring high resolution photos etc.
