ripped_fear
next time you fill up pay more attention to the amount of litres and not the ££ and see what mpg its doing if it is low my bet is the same as hecklers, o2 sensors.

Supranature
Apart from duff 02 sensors and binding brakes, is there anything else that can cause bad fuel consumption on the 2JZ engine (both) Apologies to OP, but this seems the best place to ask. Guest Andy Bird
I get between 300 and 400 from a full tank down to the light dependant on my right foot. O2 sensors apparently make a big difference
Attero
It's amazing how far mechanics and technology have come. A 326bhp Toyota Supra has a recorded average of 18mpg (same for the N/A). A 522bhp Nissan GT-R has a recorded average of 20-23mpg. Soon we will be seeing a Veyron doing 20mpg on full throttle.

Guest Andy Bird
My.monaro.vxr 6 litre v8 would average 27 mpg doing a steady 90 mph due to its very high gearin. 90 was 2.5k revs!
Havard
Supranature, last month i had a tiny fuel leak due to perished rubbers as they came from the tank area and connect to the hard pipe.. Just thought id put that out there.. Ahh, those pipes were fitted about 2 years ago to replace the section of corroded pipes above the rear suspension. Have you replaced them with rubber pipes again? I was assured that they were suitable for petrol and they have lasted a while. It may actually be around 3 years since the repair was carried out. H. Havard
But we have 600bhp Supra's averaging 30mpg That's because they are off boost most of the time. I have noticed since getting a TT that the fist turbo comes in a lot and that is what is killing my fuel consumption around town. I used to get about 20 Mpg in the NA but I am only getting around 15 Mpg in the TT. On a run it's fine but not around town. H.
