alex2jz
Now i know these brakes are a steal for what they cost. That's why i've bought them in fact This weekend i'm fitting them on my Supra and i would like some feedback from the people that have them regarding these possible issues : 1. After fitting the kit, will the warning light on the dash turn on ? 2. Will the handbrake be as safe and strong as the stock one ? 3. Do these brakes get along well with the ABS ? and that would be all. BTW i'm talking about the 8pot F and 4 pot R kit. Cheers Alex
Kirk
1. Last time i checked supra's didnt come with any sort of sensor on the brakes so i dont see why the warning light would come one. The only time it comes on with brakes is when the fluid in the MC drops below the sensor in which case you would have a leak somewhere or just low on fluid. 2. As long as the rear discs inner diameter is the same as stock i dont see why it would change the handbrakes effectiveness. 3. Fuck know's cause i dont have K-Sports
ManwithSupra
You will not get a warning light as there are no sensors directly on the calipers, pads or discs. The only sensors you have is brake fluid level. I havent really noticed a difference with regards to the handbrake but it depends what you are looking to do with the handbrake (normal use or drifiting) i only use it as a handbrake. Well the ABS is still too intrustive on the Supra in general IMO & there isnt a huge amount of difference from stock, but then how early ABS cuts in is down to how good your tyres are really. All ABS does is it senses a wheel lock up and that is caused by your tyres loosing grip under hard braking, upgrading the brakes isnt going to make you stop any faster as thats down to your tyres, bigger brakes will allow you to do repeated stops (race track or twisty country roads) without brake fade, but to stop faster you need to also upgrade your tyres, I have have the 8pot front and 4 pot rear on 356mm discs all the way around. Read my review on it...http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?206375-K-Sport-Brake-Kits&p=2934804&viewfull=1#post2934804

GlennK
If you want, you can buy the K-Sport hydraulic handbrake unit for extra handling....
