Biguns
Can't wait I have chopped in my Audi for a BMW 535d se and at stock it's 286bhp but with a map from emaps it's gonna be 350bhp and 700 torque, may be quicker than my supra but sure as hell doesn't look quicker. It's amazing how far the diesel engine has progressed.

Swampy442
Think thats what JohnnyG drives, similar map as well and he loves it. Performance diesel is the way forward for a fast road car.
Biguns
Certainly is the cheaper option and still get an average 40mpg
jonathanc
Ohh, remember reading about your Audi just a wee while ago. Trading it in so soon? 700 torque that's more than a Lambo lol. Sounds like fun! However, would be a bit tricky in the snow tho with all that power to the rear
Brazil
They also say it does 40mpg...!

Paul Whiffin
I had my 56 plate 330D Sport remapped last week, not only did the power jump up but the fuel economy has gone from an average of 39.2 to 45.5, at the price I paid for the remap I'll have my money back in no time. Highly recommend remapping a diesel, its a no brainer.

My guess is it's NM rather than lbs. Even at that though it sounds very high, I thought it was around the 500 mark.

Good point but like you said even that sounds high! My worry would be if the stock components of the car would handle a couple of hundred NM of extra torque safely. Colleague was talking about his friends 335d which he remapped and had issues with fuel pump & manifold.
Biguns
Should be ok as it is 580nm of torque at stock and the remap puts it up too 700nm torque. http://www.e-maps.co.uk/products/BMW/5+Series+%28e60%29/
johnny g
Best car in the world for the money vs economy vs performance debate IMO
