Aerotop problem

Has anyone else had thus problem with an aerotop?

I picked mine up a few days back, absolutely mint, and I was enjoying the drive today with the roof off, when I heard a huge crack!

Pulled over, and it turns out that when I went over a 'tiny' divot in the road, the car's flexed and one of the hinges that holds the boot to the car has snapped clean in half... Looks like a pretty straight forward fix, but I'm curious if it's a regular problem with all aerotops because of the car flex?

Cheers

Yeh, all checked out fine... Even got the car up on ramps before buying and looked clean as a whistle underneath.

No signs of even a tiny knock, no additional welding etc, all in all it's a really good example just a very odd occurrence.

Any ideas what could cause it then? I'm a little worried now!!

Right I've managed to look at it in more depth, and it's just where the hinge has had stress put on it... So I'm ordering a new hinge tomorrow from Toyota! It seems to be a rare problem, but a couple of other aero owners I've spoken to have had it before as well so I'm not so nervous about it now.

I'll still get pictures up soon though :)
