Hi All,

Recently done a whifbitz 2.5" 1st and 2nd decat on the supra fitted a Blitz nurspec RX and a 1bar restrictor ring + FCD, walbro and colder plugs. Now am getting what i think are fairly large puffs of blue smoke after a blip the throttle this only happens when the car is warm and sat idle for a few moments.

The blue smoke ranges from being a tiny bit say left for 10-20 seconds and IMO a fair amount after say a couple of mins... (see videos).

I am going to test to see if it does it on boost by getting my wife to video it in her car (camera screen mount).

Reading on here I expect this is one or both turbo seals going... the trouble is i would just say hell with it i am off to get a single conversion done but i am still a couple of months away from saving up enough to do it.

Am i fretting about something trivial.

The thing is i have an obsession with things working right on my car and this is spoiling the fun a little as i feel its now an old banger because of this smoke..:(

Help :)

Its the 15 to 20 secs when its hot and not when its cold thats classic turbo seals Ellis, oh and I saw you yesterday going up the hill :) In my experience (1 car lol) stem seals only show up on start.

Its not excessive by any means, and when you see a turbo with a shagged seal the turbine housing was slightly damp, takes very little oil to make alot of smoke. How long have you got Richard? Who knows, if the bearings are fine then a while, its just how long you can deal with smoke at idle :D

I found out on one of my Soarers, if you keep the revs just above idle, say 1000 it stops the smoke.

Should only have a couple of months before i have the money together.

I hate seeing smoke lol, its a sign of weakness :D
