quicky: speed vs. revs comparison JSpec

Hi there - on a J-spec with standard alloys what should the revs vs. speed be?

I am reading around 3,100 rpm at 90 leptons

And 6,200 at around 180 leptons

I am thinking this is innacurate speedo - as I there was power and revs left in the motor and can't believe its gonna hit 190+ for real - any more to compare?

GPS would be handy!

I get 2800rpm ish at 80 and just over 3000rpm at 90. (about 3100 like you)

At least the DSC is configurable and you can fine tune this out.

I do have a GPS unit but never actually used it to set the accuracy of my Speedo. Just never got around to it I guess.

Regardless of revs try counting the motorway markers (at 100m apart) and time passing say 20 of them. Then you'll get a good average speed calc.

If you work out the error I can fine tune it when we next meet.

I wasn't brave enough to check the rpm at 180!

Hmm this all seems to be confirming my readings - and the car was good for more - bit scary.

I will try all of the above!

Thanks for the offer Pete - are you going to Santa Pod
