Rookey
Hi everyone! I thought I'd pop a post up here, as I'm hopefully going to be picking up a nice Aerotop Mkiv N/a Auto in the next few days, so should at least get myself acquainted with the members on here! I've been a long standing member of CRX-UK owning 4 CRX's in my time, all heavily modified (but tastefully if I might add!) and although I've been interested in Supras for some time, I've not bitten the bullet as I've had too much fun in my little CRX go-karts - until today. I've been potentially made an offer that's too good to resist, so I'll likely be parting with my hard earned cash tomorrow and driving back with the roof off! Needless to say, I'm extremely excited as this would be the first Supra that I've owned. I used to actually be a member of Toyota Owners Club as I had an MR2, and saw a number of nice Supras at their meets, JAE, JapFest, etc over the years. Hopefully I'll be able to get all the information I need on here, and make decent contributions myself once I get to know the car itself, along with finding some nice like-minded people to sink a beer or two with! Cheers, Dave
Josh
Welcome (back). Good job on the aerotop, we've got the perfect weather for it at the moment and hopefully it'll last for a while Got any pictures of your previous cars?
Rookey
Hey again, Yep I do - attached. I signed up here years ago, so a lot's changed since then hence the "Newbie" post haha Although I guess I'm not a newbie in the true sense of the word this will still be my first Supra I'll also throw up some pics of the potential new Aerotop Some of my CRXs: Supra that I'm seeing tomorrow: http://cdn.images.pistonheads.com/aimg/2671/2671363-1.jpg http://cdn.images.pistonheads.com/aimg/2671/2671363-4.jpg http://cdn.images.pistonheads.com/aimg/2671/2671363-5.jpg http://cdn.images.pistonheads.com/aimg/2671/2671363-3.jpg Cheers, Dave
Josh
Ooo, red. Very nice You planning on doing anything to it, or just keeping it as it is for a while?
Attero
Those tints work so well on a red Supra.
Rookey
Well I've got a pair of fixed buckets ready to go in, along with TRS harnesses, but other than that I am just going to take the first month or two to get used to the car (being that I've been being pulled around corners rather than pushed for the last few years!haha)... I'll also be converting it to manual sooner rather than later too so just need to find a decent W58 box and all the extra bits. Then at some point down the line once I'm used to things, I'll look to throw a GTE in it! Longer term, I'll probably kit it, but not sure as I still absolutely love the original lines.
