yea i still like the vs , but its not practical and the fiberglass allways shatters if i take a bit too much kerb :) plus ive allways got to strip the front end to get it on a trailer and that gets boaring pretty fast.

if i was to put canards on the fiberglass bumper i cant help thinking that any kind of air load will just pull the bumper off or pull the wings from the bumper

time to grow up and sacrafice the looks for something a bit more serious

ive got a C-West front bumper and its not seriously low but feel strudy, im sure there are other bumpers that aren't so low as the do-luck for example. mines only low due to the whole car being dropped. im going to get a large flat front carbon splitter, i think this would be better than canards as they are too small IMO.

dont ditch the kit idea, just change it :)

know what you plan and all mate :) love the idea, but surelly you can get something just as strong on the front that doesn't compramise the look???

Stock front bumper with a polyurethane lip buddy, it's the only way to go!

I lost the rear of the car on one of the trickier bends at Mondello once and the front bumper ended up kissing the armco for about 15 feet, nothing but a deep scratch and a little hole to show for it. Rubber is your friend. I'll never put a single strand of fibreglass on that car.

I'm fitting my front bumper in such a way that it basically held in place on dowels with a couple of spring hooks fastening it just in front of the wheel arches.

That way it can come off in a matter of seconds so I can load it onto the trailer without catching the lip.

I took the indicators out of the bumper as I don't need them so there is no wiring at all going to the bumper. And if for some reason I do need them eventually I'm going to fit them where the sidelights are in the main lamp clusters.

well i just got back from srr after another sesion with ryan and it went somwhat smoother this time . my 2 fuel pumps solved the fuelpressure issue and allowed ryan to do his thing.

after a short discussion the target was not the highest hp figure we could reach but something nice and drivable and due to me still having the dizzy and emb i was happy to sacrifice some peak power in favor of running more timeing for better responce asnd low end.

so the results

480 bhp and 450ft lbs @ 1 bar

ryan said he could easily pull some timeing out and up the boost to get over 500 but it would loose responce down low and thats more important to me .

it has a lovely smoth power and torque curve ill post later . the power is allways rising and with a better ecu that can straech the redline thers is pleanty of room for more power.

im thinking a nice standalone and ebc next year and maybe 1.5 bar could be on the cards :)

but for now 1 bar is fine , and im happy with the days results

thanks to ryan for doing another nice job for me
