dan294
Might be a daft question, but should you be able to hear the fuel pump in the car? I can hear a low pitched whining noise with the engine running. The car starts and drives fine. Not sure now if it's always done it. I'll take the pump out and check it Friday, if its a Bosch or Walbro, does it have branding on it? I cant see that the last owner has fone BPU and left a stock 14 year old fuel pump on... aman00123
Some pumps are louder than others so some you can hear but others you cant. If the pump is on it's way out or working too hard it will whine aswell I think. Best bet is to do what you've said and check which pump is in and what condition it's in
