ray007 Posted April 19, 2011 Share Posted April 19, 2011 Hi all I've seen an aristo with the Tt engine which has been converted to LPG, apparently £20 get him nearly 200miles!! I thought LPG conversions were not possible for high performance or turbo vehicles? However I did see an add for an n/a supra which was LPG converted. Any thoughts or experiences with LPG guys? Chris Wilson Posted April 19, 2011 Share Posted April 19, 2011 A guy I sold two new Skyyline doors to in Telford does nice conversions. He has a n ultra quick T5 turbo Volvo running LPG. He has done some Skylines, not sure about Supras. I did have a customers LPG N/A in a bit ago (Purity) and a TT on LPG, that looked like a snake charmer's nightmare under the bonnet. Bearing in mind that you need the best available system, and an installer who knows what he's doing/has had experience with turbo cars... could be 2K? And remember that you can still run on petrol if you feel that the circumstances require it. I'd be tempted to run log on high boost, and have the stock fuel system in place as backup, with a low boost setting. As above would love to the LPG for cruising around and be able to switch to fuel when..you know And for me 2k will be well worth considering I'm spending £10 a day and maybe more on days off work.
