Samurai 20V
Hi guys.. Been reasearching the fuel pump here in Japan, I have been struggling to find the Walboro. I have come across the SARD 280L intank pump for 25000yen. (180 GBP) The link below says that it is bolt on to Toyota bracket, which is a good thing, simplifies installation. http://www.sard.co.jp/after_eng/products/engine/pump/hanyou.html However, it requires a Fuel pump harness kit which from my understanding is the same as the 12V mod. http://www.sard.co.jp/after_eng/products/engine/pump/harness.html Lastly they also list a dedicated kit for the Aristo 2JZGTE. http://www.sard.co.jp/after_eng/products/engine/pump/syasyu.html My questions are 1. Has anybody used this pump before? Some feedback on performance/installation would be appreciated. Is 280L overkill at BPU? 2. Is this Fuel pump harness kit advisable on the car? I read that there some safety concerns with this. 3. Is the Aristo pump and hanger the same as the JZA80? Will this kit work in the Supra? Thanks. Nic
Been reasearching the fuel pump here in Japan, I have been struggling to find the Walboro Fuel pumps are expensive in Japan, it'll work out a lot cheaper and simpler to order a Walbro pump off the internet and get it posted to you. On a J-spec Supra you need GSS342 Walbro Fuel Pump, this is a straight swap for the stock pump.
Chris Wilson
The Aristo pump set up is totally different, so you need the Supra kit.
johnny g
I'd just either go for Walbro 341 for half the price - or get a Bosch 044 and fit it in the tank.

There is that option, I was inquiring abt the SARD since it is available, you think the price of 32000yen (with fuel harness kit) is expensive? Not sure what the Walboro goes for? Which site should I look at?

Samurai 20V
Anybody used TRE (The Racers edge) Pumps? They are a USA company, they make their own pumps according to the link below I can get these in Japan for 12000 yen, around 100pounds. http://treperformance.com/i-651-toyota-supra-tt-twin-turbo-255-lph-fuel-pump-1993-1998.html
Samurai 20V
Ok, more info on the SARD. This is a better pic of the wire harness kit, can anybody has it a guess as to whats going on in it? I assume the fuel pump ecu is bypassed?
