madwoody1
been trying to look for panel air filters for the supra but i'm unsure what to get as there are so many out there :- K&N BLITZ STANDARD TOMS PIPERCROSS TRD ETC. does anyone have any input on these i'm thinking of getting the tom's one or maybe the pipercross, i no people will say standard one but they filter well at the start then tail off quickly and some of the aftermarket ones seem to start off very good and filter for longer. Guest tanabe
hi what about hks, itg, bmc
tkddav3
well k&n are supposibly the best filters "in the world" and i cant fault em but for what its worth id stick with standard mate, aftermarket doesnt do squat to the performance and they just seem to empty the wallet more
madwoody1
Then again you say it emptys your wallet but a standard filter is best part of £30 and aftermaket one is say between £35 - £60 you can clean it an oil it for £8, Two years and its payed for. Even quicker if you change your filter more often
madwoody1
i wonder if there is a poll on what airfilters people use and what problems they find with there filter, Not great at doing that my self but i think it would be good idea as there are always new people getting supras who don't no that much about them. Swampy442
As above the standard one is the best. Where did you get your information from re- tailing off?

Nic
For the best filtration go for one with a paper filter element ie. stock, TRD, K&N, Blitz. I would avoid foam filters such as the TOMS, HKS, Pipercross, etc. Edited April 17, 2011 by Nic (see edit history)
