DodgyRog
Just been down to ShellShocked to check what shape the front of the sideskirts has taken before they spray them, just in case my fussy head still isn't happy:taped: What do you think? I think it's a definate improvement:D
barneybrendan
thats 100 percent better as it looked rediculous before. You going to need a tt lump soon to drag all that filler around
DodgyRog
thats 100 percent better as it looked rediculous before. You going to need a tt lump soon to drag all that filler around Haha, thanks, I would of got it back to ShellShock quicker if you had said lol;) I am hoping to get a Pug 306 Diesel over the next few days, so the Supra will then be a weekend toy, meaning (when I can open Jen's purse wide enough) a TT Bpu or Na-T Most of the bespoke work has been built up in fibreglass to be honest, but yeah weight saving wasn't ever going to be part of the plan with this one, not much point if I am driving it anyway;) Edited September 1, 2011 by DodgyRog (see edit history)

DodgyRog
Do you ever buy your own stuff Rog? ive seen this in about ten threads lol As you know, Jen controls the money. There is a very good reason for that though, I have a tendency to buy things, even when I can't afford them:taped: That looks much better now Thanks Homer agreed, nice improvement there Such a small thing, but totally changes the lines of the car Cheers Marc thats how they should look, did you listen to me before? NO! LOL Awesome now though looks the nuts I did listen, but time was a real issue and wasn't a case of being able to just remove the lump. It was actually the bottom of the Veilside overfender and there was a question if it was removed it might weaken the join, anyway it was sorted by adding to the join underneath out of sight:cool: If it had not been for the Dragonba11 it would of been done the first time, as it happens I had a little accident when I went upto JamieP's:innocent:, so the repair gave me an excuse to get it sorted once and for all Glad you like it, even if you did say it all along:d

DodgyRog
i think it looks spot on mate. that tigra pickup looks mad too ha ha That Jason's, the guy who has done pretty much the whole of my car on his own, he has just droped a Vauxhall Red top in it and is intending to drop it to the floor on 15's. I have been trying to convince him to go with wooden boards (like a yacht) as a lid for the pickup bit He also has a big bar roll bar for the outside of the cab and big bar door sills It will be interesting to see , if he ever completes it
DodgyRog
Another little update I have the car back, but know photo update as Jen's taken it to work (will add later if it's not peeing down) The change to the SideSkirts is a massive improvement, totally changes the look and shape for the better Really happy with the repair work they have done, it's spot on again Had a slight problem though, which means the Supra having another visit to ShellShocked over the next couple of weeks, the laquer peeled slightly on the bonnet when the masking tape was removed. They are going to have it back and strip all the laquer of it and redo the whole bonnet with a few coats, something I was planing to do anyway, but I would of had to pay for it if this had not happened so a bonus:D Also we have noticed when the light catch's the doors in a certain way they seem a very slightly lighter shade, so they are going to totally respray both sides of the car and blend it into the narrow area of the pillar, we think this is due to 2 things, the doors were sprayed off the car, so the metalic has laid slightly different and also due to the extra paint layers the rest of the cars has had. When you get up close to the car now the paint on the rest of the car seems a really solid color, but on the doors it seems thin and almost patchy although it isn't in reality, if that makes sense Anyway ShellShocked have been as good as ever and are happily sorting this out at know cost to me......I did warn them I am a perfectionist when I gave them the car:D Edited September 10, 2011 by DodgyRog (see edit history)
DodgyRog
A few pics of the new front of ends of the sideskirts, still need to get it back to ShellShocked to get the problems sorted, hopefully be sorted in a couple weeks time

DodgyRog
Spent the day at ShellShocked again today, so have a Silver bonnet now with Aerocatches fitted It's not finished yet, as the holes from the old bonnet catches need to be fibreglassed over and then the bonnet will be sprayed again, properly polished and the vent mesh will be black It's been fitted just for tomorrow, then it will be coming off again to be finished It still needs a good clean though Anyway a quick pic, sorry, it was dark by the time I got home, I will get a couple more tomorrow

DodgyRog
that looks so much better. she looks damn stunning! Thanks bud, it's really appreciated I was really gutted to have to paint it, but I am surprised at how much I like the outcome and I have to agree, I think it looks much better I still have a few tweeks to do, but the Exterior is getting very close to what I want Another pic from tonight at a slightly different angle and one I took recently at sunset that really shows the curves off
ripped_fear
"very close" What else do you want doing to the exterior! that car has been under the knife more times than Katie Price's boob's!
DodgyRog
"very close" What else do you want doing to the exterior! that car has been under the knife more times than Katie Price's boob's! Well I still need to fit the AutoShine diffuser (we were hoping to have a look at it today but time ran out), also the headlights need a refurb and then there's Ibrar's low level spoiler to fit and blend in, meaning the whole boot will be sprayed again lol I also need to do something about the wheels, either total replacement or a spot wider on the rear and a refurb Needs to be lowered about an inch on the front Also need a little work on the front where it meets the bonnet, the bumper is still a touch to wide so pushes the headlight out a touch Then after the TT Bpu conversion I will be looking at a colour change, we have been playing with a few colour mixes today to try and make the effect I am after. We came close, but not quite right yet, but there's no hurry as that's a couple of years off proberbly

A set of 18" deep dish wheels would set it off great! good luck with the diffuser remember where to come if you have no luck in in devon from the 21st .... hint hint as for colour what where you thinking of or is it a secret. Your first on the list for the diffuser, but it looks like it will fit on mine, we just need to make up some brackets for the sides New wheels would be nice, but they might have to wait a while for £'s reasons The colour isn't a secret, but really hard to describe on a keyboard. Basically it will look Black, unless the sun hits it, then the curves of the car will glow with a glittery bright Red/Crimson. It sounds quite basic when you describe it, but when we were playing with different combinations yesterday even ShellShocked at the results. Jared is threatening to do the Coppery version we came up with on his Rex if I don't hurry up and do mine lol Where are staying in Devon bud? Noz
bonnet looks loads better mate! you should spend the pennies and get a TT lump sorted mate your need it to pull around all that blending gonna be bullet proof with all that paint. if u want you can get mine re-sprayed as well
Parry_10
that looks really nice mate, exterior is perfect now apart from the wheels the only thing I would change is get the trd spoiler painted aswel and just leave the centre blade in carbon/black (cant tell from the pics) that would look better but thats just my opinion
Slam
Nice looking car mate,as for sticking a different lump in it, stick with the n/a's, at the back go for the V8( & change your will )
DodgyRog
Thanks for great comments again and all ideas considered;) bonnet looks loads better mate! you should spend the pennies and get a TT lump sorted mate your need it to pull around all that blending gonna be bullet proof with all that paint. if u want you can get mine re-sprayed as well TT lump is next ish, just the got the AutoShine Diffuser fit (make up brackets) and Ibrar's low level spoiler which will be blended into the boot and then the whole boot resprayed again I think there are about 4 layers of paint plus multiple laquers now:innocent: that looks really nice mate, exterior is perfect now apart from the wheels the only thing I would change is get the trd spoiler painted aswel and just leave the centre blade in carbon/black (cant tell from the pics) that would look better but thats just my opinion Wheels is something that will have to wait unless something comes up perfect 2nd hand at the right moment/price Trd rear spoiler may well be coming off totally and replaced with Ibrar's new low level one Nice looking car mate,as for sticking a different lump in it, stick with the n/a's, at the back go for the V8( & change your will ) Decided on the TT conversion for simplity and reliability, would love the V8 option, but it becomes to specialist then and even more difficult to insure etc Edited November 13, 2011 by DodgyRog (see edit history)
