absz
aircon specialists needed hi ive recently had my engine rebuilt by whifbitz whilst doing this they had to disconect the aircon, since geting it back i have tryed having it regased but i cant get any gas back into the system as the pump will not kick in ive tryed searching the forum and ive had no luck finding the problem ive managed to run a diagnostics by holding the recirc/auto buttons but i have no idea what the flashing lights mean please help me The pump will not engage until there is pressure in the system. how are you re-gassing it? system needs to be vacuumed for approx 25mins then another 5mins leak hold check before the modern aircon machines will allow a regas and thats only if its passed the leak hold test. Ryan.G
Mike the Aircon is switched through the ecu and i dont think the loom you have has the aircon stuff wired in as magictorch removed the pump. This i can fix when mapping
mikeyh
Mike the Aircon is switched through the ecu and i dont think the loom you have has the aircon stuff wired in as magictorch removed the pump. This i can fix when mapping i spoke to j (magictorch) and he said he had the aircon working when the syvecs was fitted to his. (absz)The pump will not engage until there is pressure in the system. how are you re-gassing it? system needs to be vacuumed for approx 25mins then another 5mins leak hold check before the modern aircon machines will allow a regas and thats only if its passed the leak hold test. the system was vacumed and pressure tested, the seals were leaking from the compressor as these were removed when (whifbitz) rebuilt my engine i replaced these and rechecked the system all is fine. i did the diagnostic check and it kept flashing only once in turn face, face/feet, screen i believe its diagnosing room temprature sensor ambient temprature sensor solar sensor is this right? what is the best way to sort this any help would be a massive help:d Edited April 17, 2011 by mikeyh (see edit history)

Thorin
I've no idea I'm afraid, if you do find out though, all this information would be good to add to that thread in the FAQ area though.
mikeyh
bump:) im still in need of finding my aircon problem
Ian C
Ryan mentioned your wiring loom might not actually have some of the wires any more? That'd explain why the reported errors are all of the "I can't find a sensor" type.
mikeyh
ive spoken to j (magictorch) who i brought the syvecs off, he had the aircon wired up when ryan installed it into his car so that shouldn't be the problem
