Dnk
Mph on the private test track If the car is regulary treated to a decent wax then this time can be drastically reduced but the speed remains the same Edited April 16, 2011 by Dnk (see edit history)
a98pmalcolm
I use Sonus Drying Towels and find them very good, they last well to which is important for me. Dont try to dry the car in the sun or it will be very difficult, i also spray the car in meguiars last touch whilst its still soaking as this helps as a drying aid. If your car is being very difficult to dry and time consuming you may find although you think the car is clean it may well be covered in contamination which hinders the drying process. This is where claying comes in and removes crap stuck to the paint and makes drying much much easier, just a thought Thanks for the insite stonkin... I know you know your stuff as your do the car detailing.. Iv never seen that meguiars last touch so i'll look into that.. As i said i went for the grizzly so i hope that does a good job... Wasted £18 on that meguiars leather
jonathanc
I don't have problems with streaks unless I don't rinse it clean enough. However, in hot weather some bits dry too fast and I get annoying spots...
Notractionin4th
Bought myself a Turtle Head Ice microfibre drying cloth today. Just finished using it and results were much better than the conventional way of chamois leathering it down as I used to before, can't believe i've never purchased one before! Also bought some Meguiars Ultimate Quik Detailer too, gonna give that a bash tomorrow

Josh
I took Dunk's advice and just took her for a blast to dry her off. Luckily I had a motorbike to set the pace Edited April 19, 2011 by Josh (see edit history)

TubbyTwo
one of these is all you will ever need. http://www.cleanyourcar.co.uk/microfibre-cloths/cleanyourcar-huge-39-fluffy-39-drying-towel/prod_634.html streak free drying, and dries a large car without having to be rung out. Next thing you will be telling us you use and sponge and a single bucket to wash it! 'shudders at the thought'

Guest Nick74
Hi As my good lady says it's all down to technique, i've always used a good quality leather chamois and just worked it very quickly. What i would say though if like me your car isn't used as a daily driver, always take it out for a spin afterward, saves your discs getting pitted from being in contact with your brake pads and the underneath will get dried off, oh and that annoying dribble from the panel gaps will go aswell ;-) ttfn Nick
Jamesy
On this same theme, what do people use to dry the dish on their alloys? mine are quite deep and water sits there even if using a cloth etc...takes me ages!!
