a98pmalcolm
well iv been washin cars for 10 years and somting has been annoying me recently. I always dry with a Meguires chamois leather, but my last 2 (and one being used once) when drying the car its leaving little bits and its so anoying. What do you use to dry your motor? Thanks Paul

Matt H
I've a few different ones but I'm not sure what brand they are. I think my best one is a Halford Pro but they're a bit of a rip off (Halfords in general)

Stan
I've got a huge microfibre drying towel but any microfibre should do it. Never use chamois as it'll drag any particles you may have missed all over the paintwork
j_jza80
I use a micro fibrecloth. You can buy twin packs of Hafele E-cloths, which is one normal micro fibre cloth, and one for cleaning glass. I was the car with the regular one, and dry it with the finer glass cloth. Same results as a chamy but much faster.

Havard
I use a Halfords synthetic chamois (£2.99) and brilliant. They have some sort of soapy moisturiser when new. I would advise that you put it througn the washing machine first to stop getting marks on the car when drying, my black car always had a residue left after I used it for the first time. Once the chamois has been rinsed and wrung out a few times they are superb for collecting water. Once I get down to the smaller droplets I use a Maguires towel for a final wipe down. H. Streaks? IMO towels are not good if the car is soaking, in warm weather you also need to get around the car quickly to stop streaking. I would do as I said above or give it a quick dust over with some quick detailer and wipe off the streaks. H.

Havard
Wax it wet helps ... alot !! http://www.turtlewaxuk.com/prod.asp?Partcode=FG5197 I used to have the AG Aqua wax but found it not to be particularly long lasting ie a fortnight at best. It was great for a quick spruce up but I can do a propper HD wax in under an hour so it doesn't seem worth it. H.
pistol pete
Meguiars drying towel I use 2.. One for the main drying of the car.. then a second to finish it off and ensure no streaks.. hence why i have 4 of these microfibre drying towels

Stonkin
I use Sonus Drying Towels and find them very good, they last well to which is important for me. Dont try to dry the car in the sun or it will be very difficult, i also spray the car in meguiars last touch whilst its still soaking as this helps as a drying aid. If your car is being very difficult to dry and time consuming you may find although you think the car is clean it may well be covered in contamination which hinders the drying process. This is where claying comes in and removes crap stuck to the paint and makes drying much much easier, just a thought

Havard
2-3 miles at 120 plus usually does the trick I am assuming that is leptons? Otherwise you will be drying your car in 60 - 90 seconds which is a lot quicker than it takes me..!! H.
