VW Corrado VR6?

Feels special, lovely growly engine, lovely interior, handles/rides soooo well. Has an electric boot spoiler too ;)

Will seat 3 in comfort, and has a large boot. Pretty good on fuel too :)

Otherwise, a Jag XJR, or maybe a 540i.

For 400 notes you could afford to leave it there! Lovely car though as you say.

My uncle Stan used to have a 635 CSI Alpina back in 1983. Brand new, Y reg. Absolutely terrifying acceleration for it's time and felt like it was "floating" on the motorway. He died in 1990 aged 45. I always said if I found his old car I would buy it and do it up. I wonder of it is still in circulation? The number was ARC354Y.

You can search to see if the registration still comes back as in use somewhere - probably one of the cheap HPI sites.
