P/X with dealer - Sold as seen?

If you p/x a car with a dealer can he come back to you after driving off and claim something's wrong with the car and demand opayment to rectify it?

Depends how long it's been I think, same as if you got a car from him, he can't demand payment though, you would be given the option to reverse the transaction or rectify the fault.

No. He has no recourse against you unless you are demonstrably deceptive ie, if he says "are the indicators working" and you tell him that they are, when you know that to be untruthful.

He's a dealer,it's his job to find out if there is anything wrong,they put a 10 per cent mark up on it anyway,did you give him a waranty? no i think not

all cars are sold part ex,or sold as seen, unless otherwise stated ,tell him to Pee off

Good post. Sold as seen I'd say assuming no deception has taken place. As an aside, remember that a motor dealer is subject to certain trading laws that a private seller is not.

No deception he took few minutes to look at the car and said was fine. Got a strange email asking about minor issue which they can rectify anyway. Just want to make sure he can't demand any further payment. This is a rather large dealership chain if that helps
