It can run a bit dirty and I want to ensure that the emissions are as low as possible when it goes in. On the day, add to tank which is near empty, add £10 fuel, then go for a blast up the M56 to get it working. The trick with a diesel engine is to make sure its still warm when tested Yeah, that's my thinking, but I'll be dropped the car off at 08.30 for it to be tested at 16.00, which is a pain - still, I'll do what I can in the morning. Supranature Posted April 15, 2011 Share Posted April 15, 2011 Personally I get mine from a Motor Factor as they tend to be much cheaper tham Halfords/Motor World. They all more or less do the same job tbh. Some recommend the replacement of the fuel filter with a new one, then 100% neat additive in with the filter to do the job properly. We have had great customer feedback so far. I could do you a bottle or 2 for £12.50, usually £14.95. If you're interested in trying any, let me know. To be honest, give the thing a dam good spanking prior to going for a test, I can get 99.9% of cars through a diesel test by giving it a half mile blast, revving hard in second for example! MOT at 4 and have a good drive to the place so hopefully that should get things warm and running better.
