SupraHuman
I saddens me to see that grown up people can run around and beleive in old fairy tales about various gods, they dont exist, never have and never will, they only exist in the head of the weak that feel the need some sort of superior beeing looking down and protecting them, I say grow a pair and get on with life, religion should be banned and outlawed. Are you hiding something lol, if science can't proove the theory you can't totally say there is no God, why should religion be banned? More like illmanati should be destroyed? That's the true cause of all evil, all this war, hatred, greed all for the sake of oil and ruling the world, I think you haven't grown up . It saddens me when I see grown-ups who broadcast their opinions as if they are indisputible facts, without any attempt at forming a reasoned argument. As an atheist, it annoys me when fellow atheists imagine that they have some sort of monopoly on logic, ignoring every theist argument from Iraneaus to Keith Ward. Stay off my side. And it infuriates me when someone reduces the breadth of religious experience and motivation down to 'comfort for the weak.' I mean, where do you start with that one? I say grow a pair of cerebral hemispheres. There are countries that ban religion. Invariably, it's replaced with some secular ideology that performs the same functions, but not as well. Bit harsh, im atheist and i dont believe and think its the biggest scam and bo***ks in the world but i understand why people believe and have faith and i dont think any less of them Are you hiding something lol, if science can't proove the theory you can't totally say there is no God, why should religion be banned? More like illmanati should be destroyed? That's the true cause of all evil, all this war, hatred, greed all for the sake of oil and ruling the world, I think you haven't grown up . And i dont agree with your counter argument there Just because science cant prove it YET doesnt mean there is a god and it was his doing I cant prove the theory of most things because i dont understand them doesnt mean someone else cant or that its god that does it Dont forget the laws of physics only dictate what we know and what we believe to be true yet there are things out there that defy the laws and we just dont know why as yet, science changes all the time and new theories are produced and proved everyday. It saddens me when I see grown-ups who broadcast their opinions as if they are indisputible facts, without any attempt at forming a reasoned argument. jazz1
Well said, that's why i love my new faith in me, it also helps keep my temper down lol, but as you say nothing has been prooved from both sides, it's a matter of how you absorb the information. Now talking of the illumanati I do beleive that it has to be true, I guess power and greed are combined so these high people can live an easy life. Abz
See this is one of the problems as I see it; Take a man who devotes his life to his work & his family. Perhaps he's a Surgeon saving countless lives and/or improving the quality of life for many to enjoy (some of these patients will of course be religious - so he's allowed them to continue to exist with their views too). Ok, he's a non-believer, so he runs the risk of not getting into heaven. He may have to join the back of a queue, so to speak. Man #2 is a murderer, and a rapist. He's spent his life destroying individuals and their families. He does not care for human life. It has zero value to him. Just before he dies, he has an epiphany and he hears the word of God. He now believes. Excellent. He dies the next day by the way. So God says: "Ok Mr Murderer, come in you gorgeous man, as I know you've changed...and oi, you, yeah, you non-believing Surgeon, stand asisde please and let this man through. So Jazz, what's your view on this timeless and cliched moral dilema for the Lord? And secondly, I haven't had the calling. It seems somewhat unfair in a sense Jazz. You have, but I haven't? Why are you so down with the big man and I am not? Not sure how Jazz's view on this would be but I can answer this from an religious (Islamic) POV. In this case the surgeon would be going to the clouds, even though he may have been a non believer he has done good deeds in his life. In Islam killing someone is one of the most deadliest sins you can commit, regardless if he has "found god" his sin does not go away. Every person is accountable for their own actions. As much as anybody who may not believe in God, they should understand that religion is like a guide. It talks about morals and respect, about love, about friendship, about good and evil. Ian R
I think Neitzsche sums it up: In Christianity neither morality nor religion come into contact with reality at any point. Which is it: Is man one of God's blunders or is God one of man's? Woman was God's second mistake. Faith, indeed, has up to the present not been able to move real mountains.... But it can put mountains where there are none.
Morpheus
Thank you Brendan, more better worded Great Bushism there! I could have not said it betterer myself. "Fool me once........but ..............but...... you can't fool me again". Something like that. I miss him! I think most Americans do. Atleast he was openly mental and you knew he was a Fascist Dictator. Obama is a Communist with the added bonus of pretending to bring positive change. He never actually defined what change would be though. After the nightmare of Bush, it allowed the desperate public to project their dreams and aspirations onto a blank screen. Very clever mind control technique, that one.
