Homer
Ouch, what was the diagnosis? Even the w58's are getting a bit tricky/expensive to find, let alone good ones.
Chris Wilson
Sounds like internal bearing noise, from the description, with a possible clutch release issue, too. From experience a proper rebuild of a manual box that's not a RWD Ford is going to cost a LOT more than even a heftily priced excellent used one. As I warned mac79 though, a good one and a scrapper look just the same sat on the concrete
mac79
After much much searching i have been offered one off breakeryard.com priced at £240 delivered. i have got to give him a call about miles etc but it comes with 30 day warrenty. So depending on what he says i will be giving you a call about fitting it Chris.
