Swampy442
They're used to great effect in light aircraft, due to reliability, power/weight ratio and reliability. Strange the cars never seem capable of this. I suppose rebuild will be a matter of course in aviation though. Twice the reliabillity? Impressive Aircraft engines sit at a constant speed though, dont get their arses revved off or 'cycled' like they do in cars. Same way as commercial jet engines last 20k hours but millitary ones last 500 hours.

Luxluc
My mates RX8 turbo (380bhp) still runs fine. It's been running for 2 years on boosted application, and no problem so far. We do oil changes every 1500mls to avoid any problems due to lack of maintenance. But I guess, it's only a matter of time until something will wear out.
