Samurai 20V
Hi guys.. I will be ordering a TRD clutch soon for my TT6, was wondering if it is a good idea to change the gearbox mounts and engine mounts while I have the box out. I have the ffg questions (search was inconclusive) 1. For a BPU car, is it necessary to upgrade the mounts considering the usuage will be drags and track? 2. Has anybody any feedback on the TRD mounts? Is there any increased vibration? Effect to performance? 3. I assume it is easier to fit the engine mounts with the gearbox out, correct? Thanks in advance!
Iky
I have recently fitted TRD mounts to a virtually stock supra. Hardly any noticable vibration. There is a tiny minute fraction but this can be expected with stiffer mounts - I have a cup holder tray which rattles a bit, nothing major. dwayne
dont forget to take a look at the seals you can reach and replace easily while the gearbox is off to save time and money later on

I never knew supra's had cup holders? Do you have a photo?

dwayne
i was thinking that and the selector seal. did mine recently and it was a little fiddly under there so it would be good to do while the gearbox is out. on saying that though i did mine by jacking up 1 side of the car which is why i struggled a bit
