neilthenut Posted April 12, 2011 Share Posted April 12, 2011 i know a member with d2's, and i'd happerly use them! all depend on suspension/tyres and pads you use- nice set off tr 1's or 888's coilovers wound up nice and tight but not full to allow weight to shift forward unbraking and some Froddeo pads... A good quality stiff and efficient 4 pot caliper is better than multiple pistons in a casting or billet that flexes. 8 pot calipers on a road / track day car are a gimmick, and really for GT endurance race cars that need a huge pad area on massive discs to last the distance without pad changes. They give, per se, more pedal travel than a 6 pot for no real advantage. If you can afford them, Alcon, AP or Brembo calipers are FAR better made. If not UK brakes with decent pads, and a fluid change to something performance orientated, should be fine. If the "look" of a big anodised caliper proclaiming "8 pot" on it is important then you may be swayed by the Chinese ones. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
