Yup, the controller powers ON the xbox, when the xbox button(on controller is pressed) but it WON'T find the xbox after that to sync

Ah, I have wireless controllers too, but with the play and charge kits, so you plug them into the console to charge, and also still use

them.

i've not got them dude, i've the battery packs where you charge them in the little charger thingy. I'll go try the tip above, see if that works. Back in a Tic. :D

Phoned Xbox support..... Yes i was getting annoyed

Looks like the wireless card in the Xbox is Gubbed, for the life of me i cant get it fixed. £62 from Xbox to repair it, plus i get another 1 year warranty with it?

Its odd, Ive had numerous Xbox's over the years and not had a single failure. Think the cost of repair against the cost of a new console, its good value.

this is my 2nd one, 1st had RROD on it, bought the Elite thinking it was a better version, nope Wireless card stuffed. yeah i was expecting over £100 to repair it. so not bad i reckon. :D

Could you not run a cable to it?

don't have one. can't be arsed with a cable running through the livingroom, the dog would have it in bits when i wasn't looking. I'll go with the repair as i get another warranty with it :D
