Posted April 9, 2011 Share Posted April 9, 2011 (edited) Has anyone got any experience of fitting one of these, its quite a straight forward little job but i do have a couple of issues, Out of one of the plugs on the afk ecu there is a group of 4 wires that in the book are all marked as o2 related. However they are all also "dummy wires" and say theyre not used in all applications. Now i think that they are to join into the original 02 sensors wiring if i was to delete the original sensor and only use the new one that comes provided with the kit.(otherwise the oem ecu would pick up a fault??) But i am retaining the original 02 sensor and obviuosly fitting the new one to work the afk so surely the wires are void? Also for the wiring to the 2 knock sensors, i have the 2 wires coming from the afk ecu and then they split to make four connections, but the oem knock sensors are a single wire!!! whats this about? I may be a mile off with this!!! Any help would be much apreciated:( Ive also got to say i would be quite happy to let matt at afr do this but really wanted to run the car up and make sure the engine is sweet and its clear of leaks and niggles before mapping. Plus i would like to drive it there off boost rather than trailoring it all the way up there.(As long as the afrs read ok) Edited April 9, 2011 by Bailey.
